I have written this book, because I am interested in finding young, talented volleyball players who can be future members of national teams. Because of our small population we need to have wise training programmes and good player selection, to stay competitive with other countries in volleyball. The aim of the present study was to examine the dependence of young female volleyballers performance on their body build, physical abilities, technical skills and psychophysiological properties. New scientists and coaches can easily find in this book the assessment methods for testing young volleyballers' abilities and their body build; also they have the opportunity to compare their data with ours. Volleyballers body build is assessed in 5 SD height weight classes. It is an excellent new method for selecting talented volleyballers and was first discovered by anthropologists from Estonia.
