Heat transfer in rocket motors is being increasingly investigated to better understand the physical material changes during the operational time of the motor. Material durability is important since the motor structure requires strength and maneuverability to bring off a successful flight. A computer program that is simulating this material behavior is a useful tool for the rocket motor designer. Rocket motor designs can then be tested and evaluated before an actual firing test is required.
