Solid Waste Management:the Case of Wolaita Sodo Town,ethiopia Workneh Fanta

Solid waste, which is a consequence of day-to-day activities of human kind, needs to be managed properly. The absence of effective MSWM system is responsible for disease out-breaks and social problems at large in the study area. This study intended to provide appropriate policy implementations to alleviate problems related to MSWM practices. As the Survey result of this study indicated that the current status of SWM in the study area is below the expectation of the public (below standard) and several HH characteristics, economic factors, socio-psychological factors, institutional factors and technical factors were responsible for such a weak SWM condition exists in the study area. This Book will serve as Resource Material for Lecturers, Researchers, Public Health Workers, Policy makers, and others who engaged on related environmental protection works.
