Extended spectrum ?-lactamases (ESBLs) have emerged as a major threat worldwide with limited treatment options. The present manuscript was aimed to determine the occurrence,risk factors,treatment option and Laboratory diagnosis of extended spectrum ?-lactamase-producing Escherichia coli and Klebsiella pneumoniae among inpatient and outpatient setting. This kind of assessment provides evidence for hospital administrators, heath policy makers and health professionals on effective intervention and treatment strategies for these isolates.
