Sediment Quality Assessment of Camamu Bay's Mangroves - Bahia, Brazil Joana Paixão

Camamu Bay (Bahia, Brazil) is an Environmental Protected Area with mangroves of economic and ecological importance. This Bay could be further affected by the pressures of tourism and petroleum exploration in the adjacent continental platform. The results of this study can be used in the decision making for preventive measures of impact at the coastal region of Camamu Bay and can be used for comparison with other studies that describe the mangrove contamination by metals and/or hydrocarbons in tropical and temperate regions.
