The development of polymers is one of the biggest achievements made in chemistry which has a significant effect on everyday life. Polymeric metal complexes are defined as polymeric substances which are composed of metal ions or clusters connected by poly topic organic linkers via strong coordination bonds. Polymeric metal complexes are sometimes referred to as metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) or coordination polymers. Owing to the published work on these topics and long-standing interest of my laboratory in the study of this class of compounds, synthesis of various novel ligands and oligomeric metal complexes have been carried out. Also, their characterization by various spectroscopic and thermal techniques is included. The aim of this book is to provide a brief knowledge about oligomeric/ polymeric metal complexes.
