This book is of paramount importance as it contains livelihoods situations of the urban poor. Tackling urban poverty requires a well done understanding of the livelihoods of the poor peoples. Through out their lives, the poor face challenges and they do have strategies to cope with it. This work has delt with the livelihoods challenges and strategies of the poor in Ethiopia, as it has to be documented to be used in policy making and Acedamics. Because, it is generally accepted that understanding the vulnerability, insecurity of the poor and the ways that they cope with it is essential for well-informed policy decisions.
