Due to this internationally established reputation the demand of German know-how, advice and technology from emerging countries is constantly increasing. Especially in the field of soil remediation and space management Germany is one of the world's outstanding actors. The last 25 years of legislation, development of guidelines and standards, further development of technological processes and methodology, plus setting up a multitude of highly competitive service companies, attests the outstanding competence and firsthand experience. Many universities and research institutions, mostly in cooperation with companies and government agencies, are involved in the research and development of soil remediation and optimized space management. In recent years the Southeast Asian market, especially Malaysia, has become an interesting and important partner of German industries. The evolving partnership lead to large investments in industries as well as education and research. In the years to come the focus of our long-time cooperation will be shifted on sustainability and environment protection.
