The application of Artificial Neural Networks in force and position control systems has increased in recent years, because such usage does not require a detailed knowledge of mathematical and control theories, thereby reducing the development cost of controllers for complex systems, particularly nonlinear systems. The book addresses efficient modeling of 6-DOF industrial manipulator in MATLAB/Simulink and SimMechanics, dynamic modeling of environment stiffness, controller design for free motion robot control, designing of multilayer FFB neural networks with different hidden layers. It also presents the application of GA for optimal tuning of weight and bias parameter ANN, application of ANN in force and position control of robot.
