Ocimum plants; Ocimum suave and Ocimum kilimandscharicum have been used and shown a great Impact in reducing indoor vector density and human biting rates. The use of this resource in poor rural communities where the disease is endemic can be of both source of employement and disease reduction by installing a machine for distilling both crude and active ingredient of the plants. The plants have ability to be incoporated and supplementing the existing vector control tool for increasing the efficacy of the control methods.
