This study provides insights into the fingerprints of great geohazards like tsunami. As tsunami inundates coastal plain, it leaves excellent evidence of its occurrence and magnitude on the deposit stored in coastal plains as the water recedes. Study of the preservation of these deposits can be used to track historical tsunami events which is of great importance in delineating hazardous coastal zones around the globe.
