Measurement of Surface Free Energy of Nail Zara Sheikh

A great deal of research and development work is focusing on improving the effectiveness of the existing therapies for treatment of diseases of the nail and developing new strategies that will enhance penetration of the drugs through the nail plate. The aim of this particular study was to measure the surface free energy of the finger nail plate that will aid in the design of a nail patch. In this book the structure of the nail has been discussed along with an overview of the most prevalent disease, onychomycosis and its treatment options.
