Surviving Rape: the Efficacy of Rape Crisis Cape Town Trust Counselling Skills Course Zaidah Van Niekerk

With the alarming rate of sexual violence in South Africa, many women are faced with the traumatic experience of rape. Rape Crisis Cape Town Trust is a non govermental organisation that aids women in dealing with the medical and legal matters of rape. Counselling is also offered as a free service. This study aims to evaluate the efficacy of this service by evaluating the skills training course that the rape counsellors are trained in. The results of this study was used to better the service offered within the community.
