Uncle Doc, a recent widower, is invited to accompany his nephew Howard on his annual fishing trip to Rainy Lake. Howard has a brand new boat and more than enough gear. They enjoy a week of camping and fishing before the weather turns ugly. When a storm damages the trolling motor, they head back to town to pick up the spare. Instead of returning to camp, they find themselves shipwrecked on the southern coast of Canada. This is a light-hearted tale about love, friendship and survival.
