The Italian Renaissance which occurred during the fourteenth and sixteenth centuries played a vital role in the history of Europe. It influenced almost all the civilizations in this world. Though the Italian Renaissance was initiated by humanists, it revolutionized different fields such as architecture, sculpture, painting, literature, philosophy, religion, science, exploration, political science and education. In all these fields, during the renaissance period, ancient Greek works were revived. As a result, influence of ancient Greek civilization during the Renaissance period was immense.
