Materials Science: Growth and Physicochemical Properties of the Promising Nlo Crystals of Amino Acid Family Preema C Thomas

Preema C. Thomas was born on 29th July 1977 in Kota, Rajasthan. She had her early education in Sophia School, Kota, Rajasthan and later in Alphonsa Residential School, Bharananganam, Kerala. She did her undergraduate course in Physics at Alphonsa College, Pala, Kerala, and postgraduate course from St. Thomas College, Pala, Kerala. She also obtained B. Ed. from St. Joseph's College, Mannanam, Kerala. She worked as a Guest lecturer in Alphonsa College, Pala, Kerala for the period 2001-2002. She registered for Ph. D. as a full time research scholar in the Department of Physics, Loyola College, Chennai in March 2004. She has carried out research on the growth and characterization of selected semi organic NLO crystals. During the course of her research work, she has published 10 papers in reputed International Scientific journals and 7 papers in National journals. She has also presented 30 papers in National/International conferences. She is presently working as Asst. Professor, Dept. of Physics, Saveetha Engineering College, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India.
