The Composition and Compensation Practices of Boards of Directors: Evidence from Research Study in Vietnam Sundar Venkatesh

The topic of practices of the board of directors, a corporate governance mechanism, has been a concern for research by scientists in many countries, but is quite a new topic in Vietnam. In this book, we have come up with some empirical findings on the composition and compensation practices of the board of directors in the two diversed groups of companies in the market of Vietnam: groups of largest and smallest companies in terms of market capitalization. We have also made a comparison about board of directors practices between some companies in Vietnam and some largest companies in the South- East Asia.
