AN EARTHQUAKE EDUCATION PROGRAM FOR PRESCHOOL CHILDREN The book called ?We Know What to Do, We Are Not Afraid of the Earthquake!? includes an earthquake education program with parent participation prepared for 5-6 age group children receiving preschool education. The book aims to introduce the earthquake to preschool children and to promote developing a point of view to take measures related to the earthquake. In addition, with parent participation activities, it is aimed to provide parents with experience related to how they are able to explain a current but an abstract issue like earthquake to their children. The first chapter of the book touches upon the importance of teaching preschool children about earthquakes, and talk about the related studies carried out so far. The second chapter of the book consists of an earthquake education program. There are classroom activities to be carried out at preschool education institutions and parent participation activities listed within the scope of the program. In the final chapters of the book there are recommendations for teachers and parent, in an effort to increase the functionality of the programme.
