Numerous architectural monuments of different historical epochs- defensive, religious, residential and civil, preserved in the North- Western district of Azerbaijan are testimony of the century-long history and deep building traditions. Monuments demonstrate the high level of construction craftsmanship, skilled utilization of local materials and peculiar methods of architectural decisions. This book provides an information about modern appearance, constructive peculiarities and decorative features, architectural- planning composition of the main types of buildings in the territory of the North- Western district, including drawings and photo fixation, collected by author jointly with other professors of Azerbaijan University of Architecture and Construction under scientific supervision of Professor, Doctor of architecture Mammadova G. H. during numerous trips to the towns of the district. Materials on several preservation projects realized in the district are also available.
