Creativity Within the University Environment: a Case of Selected Departments of Moi University Ondiek Miyancha

Universities have the unenviable challenge of producing and injecting graduates into the labour market. The graduates should not only have the capacity to solve problems afflicting society but also to come up with new solutions to new problems that come up as the society develops and technology changes. The study guided by the multiple intelligence and production function theories explores the extent to which universities prepare graduates for the noble challenges that would see communities have an enhanced quality of life. Therefore what is the extent to which the teaching of creativity is dependent on the aptitude of the student, the programs, the facilities, the faculty members, and teaching methods employed and used. This study seeks to find answers.
