Status of Human Resources Training and Development: Woreda Education Offices of West Haraghe Zone- Oromia Region Ethiopia Aychiluhim Zenebe

Human Resources Training and Development has long been considered as an important aspects of educational development. It promotes the attainment of educational goals and objectives of the organization through enhancing the capacity of available man power. This book,therefore examine problems that had been hindering such efforts. In the Woreda Education Offices the practice of systematic training and development need assessment had been non-existent,the Woreda Education Offices were not in a position to set appropriate training and development programs and set objectives by them selves. Besides the practices of utilizing on-the-job training and development methods and orientation programs formally arranging to new recruits had been also non-existent. Moreover the Woreda Education Offices did not have systematic evaluation techniques by which the out comes of training and development programs were evaluated. In addition to this,lack of attention from top officials,lack of skill and lack of budget were the problems that challenged the training and development programs in Woreda Education Offices.
