Evidence-based Drug Treatment Graham Danzer
Evidence-based Drug Treatment
Graham Danzer
This study examines whether evidence based drug treatment practice correlates with length of treatment. Evidence based practice could help substance abusers and restore funds for public resource systems. Evidence based treatment modalities were assessed against a subject sample from a drug treatment center. Longer treatment episodes in general tend to equate with better outcomes (Kratcoksi, 2004). The agency under study practiced mostly in accord with the evidence and in turn, most clients under study stayed in treatment at least 4 months. Follow up studies can ascertain the validity of such findings with larger and more homogenous sample sizes.
