Quality management is being thought of, as the most important ingredient of strategic mix that will enable the textile industry to attain a competitive business position. A sample of 310 respondents from 28 textile companies and their work units operating in the state of Punjab, India was drawn to study the impact of quality management practices on the organizational performance. In order to bring out the factors of quality management practices, 47 measures in the form of statements were developed on a five-point Likert scale. The study found that not all the quality management practices were being practiced at the same level. The results of multiple regression analysis showed that quality management practices in textile manufacturing units of Punjab were positively and significantly related to the financial performance of the companies
