This book explores the barriers that individuals and organisations face when they need to reduce noise exposure at work. These barriers can range from the use of personal protective equipment through engineering solutions to the reduction of noise levels in the workplace. Regular exposure to hazardous noise has negative effects of hearing health (noise injury) resulting in hearing loss, increased workers' compensation claims and decreased quality of life.
