Each piece's discussion consist of a short biography of its composer, a general description of the piece, a suggested level of difficulty, and the location of its original manuscript or published copies. The majority of the pieces discussed in this compilation exist only in their original manuscript form and access to them is only possible by visiting the Colombian libraries and museums were they are.
