Despite the government?s efforts to improve water services in the country, majority in the rural areas are without water. The situation has moved religious organizations to compliment government efforts in water Supply provision as the Case of Kabembe Water Supply Project. From the study carried, it was concluded that the involvement of Konde Diocese in water services provision was mainly focusing on forming a multi-partner-collaborative approach to rural water development. However, the beneficiaries were not prepared to handle operation, maintenance and management activities of the constructed water systems by the government. As it is in many water schemes built in many places in Tanzania. The study recommends that, when the water project is handed over to the community, the training to villages? management on operation, maintenance and management of the constructed water systems should continue to ensure sustainability. This book could be useful to many people especially: policy makers, researchers, development workers, church leaders and government leaders.
