As a result image authenticity has become greatly threatened. The illegal duplication, tampering and wrongful distribution of the media have become daily crimes. Therefore, multimedia authentication and integrity verification becomes a popular research area in recent years. Digital watermarking is a method of embedding useful information into a digital work (audio, image, or video) for the purpose of copy control, content authentication, distribution tracking, broadcast monitoring, etc. Two classes of digital watermarks have been developed to protect the copyright ownership, integrity and authenticity of digital images. Robust watermarks can be used for ownership verification and authenticity; fragile watermarks are intended for checking integrity of digital contents.
