This is the first edition of "The impact of the global financial crisis on the Macedonian economy: An analysis of the Pollog region?. The book itself is a result of the same titled research implemented by the authors and supported by the SEEU in Tetovo and the municipality of Gostivar. " The book is divided in two main parts. The first part presents a short summary of theoretical research in financial crisis in general and the first major financial crisis of the XXI century in particular. The second part of the book is more practically oriented and has derived from a field research in hundreds of SME?s from the Pollog region. The conclusions and recommendations that are presented at the end of the book present an overview of the actual implications that the global financial crisis has had on SME?s in the Pollog region. The authors express special gratitude to the South East European University in Tetovo and the municipality of Gostivar as the main supporters of the research project.
