Recognition of property rights and tenure security are key in REDD implementation to be successed. In fact, forest property rights and tenures are often unclear, contested and overlapped which also happens in Indonesia. Early efforts in enhancing current system including legal system in order to be ready for implementing REDD has been taken. However, there are still any doubt whether the developing system able to address issue of property right security. By using 5 REDD projects as case studies,the book analyze how well Indonesia addressing issue of property rights security in its readiness phase and to contribute towards the identification of an analytical framework for assessing whether and to what extent REDD projects can be tool for delivering significant benefits for Indonesian local populations especially through enhanching security of property rights and land tenure regime. This book will help readers to understand influence of legal system to ensure property rights and tenure issue on forest carbon scheme especially REDD.
