The History of Endärta Awraja, where the Qädamay (First) Woyanä Rebellion of 1943 was originated in Tigray, remained understudied for longer time. Now, this book appears to be a blue print by throwing light on the comprehensive history of the area. This book mainly deals with the political, administrative, economic, taxation, land tenure system and social infrastructural history of the area during the Imperial Regime (1941-1974). The causes, course and effects of the Qädamay Woyanä Rebellion of 1943 are discussed in detail. The post-Qädamay Woyanä Rebellion political developments of the area are also considered. The local administration system, taxation and land tenure systems, Arho salt mining, transporting and trading activities of the people of the awraja are given a good coverage in this book. Besides, the introduction and expansion of modern education, health facilities and feeder rural roads are discussed at a considerable detail. Therefore, this book is very valuable and helpful to know the history of Endertans in particular and the Tigreans in general.
