Organic Synthesis Using Natural Catalysts: Synthesis and Reactions of Some Pyrimidine Derivatives Using Granite and Quartz As Acidic Catalysts
Abd-elfattah Harb
Over the last years, the synthesis of organic compounds can be occured by chemical catalysts which have expensive price and harmful effects on the body. This book has a large collection from researches for 100 years ago which talk about catalysts using in synthesis of organic compounds. Also, it contains synthesis of antimicrobial biginelli compounds using natural catalysts like quartz and granite which are very cheaper, available and not harmful, In addition to it?s extremely useful and highly efficient. The product could be separated simply from the catalyst, and the catalyst could be reused more times. The antimicrobial activity of some selected synthesized compounds was tested and showed moderate activity. Also, it contains some reactions for these compounds. It should be useful to researchers in chemistry specially in this field.
