This book has been prepared with a clear aim of helping the student community to have a general awareness in linguistics. One may find? that? the? book? tries? to? discuss? the? subject? by? citing? examples? more? from? English?language, though the principles are applicable to other languages as well. The task was more of synthesizing the varied discourses and not of probing into the deeper aspects of language studies.
