I believe that there are still many new and exciting discoveries waiting to be found, hidden within nature, and of beneficial use to humans and the environment. I want to be a part of the next discovery. I think of modern biotechnology as an opportunity for small but dedicated groups of people to have a major effect on the world. To me, biotechnology is about bridging the gap between scientists and the practical application of their ideas. The role of fungal species is fundamental to understand the application of Bio-technologies.
