Pain is a major growing health issue. It accounts for a large number of patients who visit the clinic seeking a cure to their misery, and prevents them from going to work. Hence it poses a huge financial problem to society due to the costly rehabilitation programmes, and the lost workdays. This research study addressed the different types of analgesia used during labour, and their association with the safest outcomes, and also the relationship between chronic pain and psychosocial factors.
