The Political Economy of Transition: from Plan to Market and the Need for Parametric and Paradigmatic Reform of the Public Security Systems Georgeta Modiga

This study aims to analyze some aspects of Romania economy regarding pensions and the reforms. Therefore, the first reform undertaken is the price reform and the liberalization price is quasi-complete during the first transition years. The economic and at the same time historical-paradigmatic appeal carried out in this chapter shows that there are several steps that an economy having gone through the central planning experiment. Also, are analyzed the situations from plan to market transition phase, functional (rudimentary) market economy phase, ?mature? or sophisticated market economy phase. Moreover, the book includes parametric reform of the Romanian public pension system with necessity, execution and immediate effects.
