This book " A concept of Vatashonita in Ayurveda w.s.r to Gouty Arthritis" represents the occurrence of disease vatashonita from ancient time. Acharya Charaka has however not clearly described the disease Amavata & Sandhigatavata as a separate disease but he had fully described the disease Vatashonita in a separate chapter, showing the prevalence of this excruciating disease since then. Thus the disease Vatashonita is a big challenge for medical science since ancient time. In this book I have tried to understand this disease under the light of modern medical science and use of knowledge of ancient science i.e Ayurveda for the management of Gouty arthritis.
