A Comparative Study of Annang and Bantu Ontologies Lambert Ukanga
A Comparative Study of Annang and Bantu Ontologies
Lambert Ukanga
In the history of the man's sojourn on earth, many tribes have lost in the tiny air due to migration which is constant to human evolution. Indeed, in our daily life pursuit, we have discovered that, actions, names, cultures, characters, etc seems alike, irrespective of cultures, countries and traditions. It remains our duty as scholars to find the "why" of such similarities. It is on this note that the work compared the Annang and Bantu ontologies with reference to Placid Tempels' concept of vital force. Our aim therefore, becomes the ontological vision of interrogating beings, becoming, existence, essence and reality in Annang and Bantu ontologies to see their point of convergences and the divergences as forces pervade the two ontologies. When one understands these realities of interaction of beings and forces, one can put these ideas into practice and develop them without prejudice, as we believed will contribute to human development in this present age and beyond.
