This material covers the following topics: the drawworks and the travelling block-crown block mechanism. The analyze will be done for the conventional hoisting equipment and the hoisting equipment with two active drawworks. For starters, the authors will present the mechanical loads of the drawworks drum and the method for the drum shaft calculation. The significant part of this material is the second part where are made kinematics and dynamics studies of the travelling block-crown block mechanism comparing the conventional hoisting equipment with the hoisting equipment with two active drawworks.
