Water quality evaluation of Himalayan Rivers is very crucial step to conserve the natural water resources for sustainable development. Due to pollution in water body leads to change in ecological balance which changes the physicochemical parameters of a water body. As natural resources like Himalayan Rivers, springs are important resource of surface water for domestic and irrigation purpose. The Quality of water is a serious concern due to rapid increase in the population, urbanization and industrialization. The present study was aimed at analyzing some important characteristics of water resources in Almora, funded by GBPNIHESD, Almora.
