This work represents a monographic research on acute pancreatitis and in particular the most recent guidelines for this pathology. It has been becoming more common than in the past and has been benefiting from the most recent advances in diagnosis and therapeutic management that have significantly improved its prognosis. Throughout this publication, we have tried to bring together the latest recommendations in order to achieve an exact diagnosis and thus provide an efficient and appropriate treatment and thus improve the prognosis.
