Assessment of Traditional Medicinal and House Smoking Plants Mosisa Daba

This research which was done on the topic of assessment of Traditional Medicinal and House Smoking Plants in Abuna Gindeberet Woreda in case of Erjajo Kebele is aimed at the assess traditional medicinal plants- identification, preparation, use and preservation and explore house smoking plants- identification, preparation, use and preservation. The study area and traditional medicine practitioners were purposively selected. The data was collected via both primary and secondary data collection methods. Some of the results of this study are most of traditional medicine practitioners were old aged and uneducated rural farmers with limited income source and there were a numbers studies at different parts of Ethiopia on traditional medicinal plants type identifications, parts of the plants used, the application routes of these medicines and the disease it cures but rare concerning house smoking plants. Besides, environmental degradation was highly threatened the traditional healers. Provision of education, Emphasis of research and combating environmental degradation were the major recommendations forwarded.
