In Algeria, agriculture has become one of the government's priorities in order to diversify its economy. After independence, its first obligation was to elaborate development strategies capable of modernizing the country and increasing the population's standard of living; however, great efforts must be deployed to achieve these objectives. The present document gives an overview of agriculture in Algeria.
