The book Basics of Innovation and Sustainability is a synthesis of theories and fundamental knowledge that can provide to readers a good understanding of the of the approached field. First of all, the concepts of sustainable development and sustainable society are clarified, highlighting the role of education - mainly the role of higher education - in understanding and practical implementation of the aforementioned concepts. Next, we present the role of innovation in ensuring the sustainable development of the society, the importance of creativity - seen as a starting point for innovation and basic notions related to innovation management.
