He smelled of prohibition, he smelled of a summer night in some exotic place, of exquisite fruits that he had never tasted, he smelled of desire, of life. He was her student, a lonely boy addicted to books and music who barely smiled. He had invaded her dreams even before meeting her after a violent accident in which his head broke, preventing him from retaining memories. He made her go crazy. He began to want her. He wanted her so badly and so hard that he felt delirious. But they were a teacher and a student in an orphanage in Bologna in Italy in the middle of 1980. They could not love each other. It was wrong. And yet they did... Now Mario knows that woman, at sixty-five years old, who inevitably forgets the love of her life and herself. Mario, who knows that her way of loving is also good, tries by all the means he can remember. Then he finds some videotapes full of her life, in which she tells herself everything she fought, everything she loved about that boy with curly hair and of his life.
