The few Jews who were left at that time in Europe, who have survived the valleys of death and the concentration camps made great efforts to return to their homes. They were soon to discover that they had nowhere to return to; their houses had been destroyed and their families murdered. Determined to find a new home, they struggled to reach the shores of their ancient homeland - Eretz Israel.
