Vanessa returns back to her home city of Boston, four years after she was declared dead in an arson attack on her way home from college, in China. With her past something of a great mystery to the world around her and her best friend by her side, someone the world knows nothing about, Vanessa tries starting a new life along with her mother and brother, far away from the horrors of what happened in China. But that turns out to be a lot harder then she through because when a group of girls goes missing, she takes it upon herself to rescue them. Realizing that she can use the skills she picked up in those four years, she makes it her mission to bring and keep justice in Boston, reviving her alter ego of Chongsheng.
