The Factory A Stranger

A young girl wanders a post-apocalyptic wasteland in search of purpose and finds new societies formed from the shards of civilization's dreams. Two young lovers meet amongst rumors of war in 1940's America. One will be sent to face almost certain death and the chaos of war; the other will remain to support the war effort and try to understand her place as a woman, a wife, and a worker. All three are tied by the constraints of interlapping times and the lies that forged The Factory.
