Robert Van Stark hoped his life would slow down after the highly publicized rescue took place over a week ago. Unfortunately, a dramatic change in his father's career has created more turmoil in Robert's life. However, a silver lining presents itself when he learns that he will be living near the boy that he has had a crush on ever since they met at a White House State Dinner.

Help couldn't come soon enough for fifteen-year-old Lukas Barnes, who has been locked up in a prison cell that most would refer to as the White House. Lukas is desperate to escape from parental incarceration and has started to use alternative methods for his temporary parole.

Living through tragedy and embracing life has brought Robert and Lukas closer together. Now they hope to have a chance to live their dreams. Together, these gifted teens will take an adventurous journey, and along the way, they will learn to muddle through life's maze of the unknowns.
