"Autumn in America & Other Poems" is a peek into the heart of someone who had to move away from home. Immigrants shed many unaccountable tears while settling down in an unknown land. This collection is an account of those cries and memories. It feels better when tears finally flow into words. And, that's what makes the flow of these poems beautiful. So, here, I gladly present this portrayal representing the inner self of those, who leave life behind, and settle down far away from their origins. These poems depict lacks and memories, struggles and hardships, as well as hopes, promises, potential, and empowerment.

This is no slip-shod, hodgepodge compilation of hastily put together emotions and verbose platitudes disguised as poetry, but real poetry, throbbing with real feelings and captivating the readers with masterly use of poetic devices, regaling them with different forms written flawlessly - a roseate sonnet, an abecedarian poem, a shadorma, embellished with nostalgia, humour, a rhythmic cadence and, a restrained feminist tenor.

Brindha Vinodh has taken pains to put together her poems painstakingly in it and her best foot forward. The poems are put by her in six sections that start with "The scent of nostalgia and home." In it, she writes as if she has thrown a stone into the pond of her memories and the result is poems that spread like concentric rings.
