Hellenic Hound Dog: Training Method for Hellenic Hound Dog
Gosnell Mollie
The Hellenic Hound is a medium sized dog bred to scent, track and hunt hare in southern Greece and has been around for many hundreds of years. It has a life span of 10 to 12 years and is also called the Greek Hound or the Hellenikos Ichnilatis. It is an intelligent dog that is best kept as a hunting dog and companion rather than just the latter. It is smart, loyal, very playful and excellent at hunting hare and other fast prey. Though his black-and-tan look may be familiar, the Greek Harehound is a rare breed that you're unlikely to have seen before. Developed in Southern Greece, this breed is a skilled and fearless hunter with boundless energy and excellent stamina. Strong-willed and independent, the Greek Harehound is still devoted to his owner and can do well as a family pet for older children.
